Some of our neighbors in Val Verde and Castaic have spent a lot of time fighting for protection for families in response to dangerous air quality conditions from the nearby landfill. They are trying to set/maintain policies that will protect families all over California. They have suffered and they are trying to prevent other families from experiencing what they have gone through.

The Trump administration's guidance attempting to end DEI programs is no longer in effect and can't be enforced against anyone, anywhere nationwide.

Every student has a right to an inclusive education, free from censorship. This ruling affirms that all students have a right to a full and honest education that reflects the diversity of our communities and our full history.

If elected Board President , Anna Griese will divide the District and the Board. She has a history of disrespect for her fellow Board members, refuses to follow board policy, and defies the Superintendent's office and her Assistant Superintendents constantly. Please read the template for more information. Feel free to change it, or share your own opinion. The search for a new superintendent is starting in the new year, and we need a strong leader to guide the process, and Anna is not it. Please send all emails before 4:00 PM on Tuesday.

In regard to Agenda item II. C, Election of President, Governing Board for the upcoming Organizational Meeting of the Governing Board on December 16th, 2025.
We stand in firm opposition to the election of Anna Griese to the position of SUSD Governing Board President.
Now more than ever, our district needs a team player that will work with other board members with a unity of purpose, respects education and our educators, has a respect and appreciation for our cabinet members and their professional contributions, understands board process and can use that knowledge to guide behaviours at the dais and can make decisions independently of a political group who has no business influencing our schools.
We need a team player who considers all parents, of all students, to be of equal importance, who will put an end to publicly vilifying our students who have moments of struggle, and who will help our district rebuild with a sense of unity and a focus on the mission - Together WE achieve more.
For these reasons and more, we implore you to oppose any motion to elect Anna Griese to the position of governing board president.

Today Rick Hindman and I were honored to be the Santa Clarita Valley Democrats Club Volunteers for the Year and we were honored by Democratic Party of the San Fernando Valley at the Truman Awards. It was a great morning filled with many honors. Our dear friend Chad Kampbell was honored for his hard work for Democrats in SoCal, Mayor Bass, the fierce David Huerta, and so many more! We look forward to doing more great work within our communities and with the Democratic Party!
