Happy Pi Day!
and Einstein’s Birthday and Pie Day!
Decided to try to get a pictorial digits of Pi (53 digits after the decimal) this week! Decided on Tuesday, so will add the 3rd graders on Monday!

What an amazing day with my 5th/6th graders! I am blessed, thankful and proud! They learned about some new artists, discussed the elements of art, and created a collage piece that meant something to them! Today was a great day!! ❤️ all the faces in these pictures! 🐊

Wow! Today was one of those days as a teacher you will remember!! Gifted Art Show was a hit! The kids beamed with pride as they showed off their artwork! The parents, community, and staff came out to support these gators! I think this was one of my most fun units I have done! Proud to be these kids teacher!! Thank you to everyone who help make this day so successful!! ❤️🐊🎨

This week we learned about Georgia O’Keeffe! First woman to have a solo exhibition at MMOA in 1946. Won the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1977! This is by far my favorite art piece we have done! Can’t wait for everyone to see them!

This week’s artist was Michelangelo! As we were “painting” like him, I hear, “It took him 4 years to complete the Sistine Chapel, and we can’t even do it for 4 minutes! How did he do it?” Mission accomplished and memories made!!

As we start our second quarter this week, I am so thankful to be these kids teacher! They are truly amazing kids and make coming to work a joy! They have embraced this art unit with so much excitement and I can’t wait for you to see all their hard work!!

Oh the wind! Was a pretty day, but windy for a rocket launch! But, we persevered and they had a blast!! I hope this will be an activity they will always remember!
