Our Future Healthcare Professionals Are Looking the Part!

Yesterday was an exciting milestone for our Nursing Support Technician (NST) students as they wore their Gator scrubs to school for the very first time!

This school year, these students will work to complete all requirements to become Certified Nursing Support Technicians while also earning dual enrollment credit through Coastal Alabama Community College!

We are so proud of these students for taking advantage of this opportunity to gain valuable healthcare knowledge, hands-on skills, college credit, and an industry-recognized credential—all while still in high school!

They sure do look good in those Gator scrubs!

Congratulations to the JV and Varsity Gators who both defeated MGM tonight in straight sets!

Ella Petry and Brooklyn Coleman led the Gators offensively with 9 and 7 kills, respectively, while Adleigh Montalvo and Reese Phillips led the way defensively.

The Gators are back in action at home next Tuesday at 4:30 PM (JV) and 5:30 PM (Varsity). Come out and support your Gators! 🐊

Showing Up = Growing Toward Success!

Congratulations to our 7th Grade Gators for taking the TOP SPOT in this week’s SHS Attendance Challenge with an incredible 98.25% attendance!

We’re proud of ALL of our Gators for showing up and making every school day count!
As a reward, ALL STUDENTS may wear jeans, sweatpants, or joggers with a Satsuma spirit shirt tomorrow, Friday, August 21! 🐊

But the challenge isn’t over! Next week, ANY grade level that reaches 97% attendance or higher WINS!

📚🐊 A Great Start at Gator Grounds!

Our 8th grade Gators visited the library to review library procedures, enrichment plans, and expectations for the year ahead!

Students also got a sneak peek at the research skills they’ll be building throughout the year, including an introduction to copyright laws, in-text citations, and the Alabama Virtual Library (AVL). 💻📖 There’s much more to come as they learn how to find, use, and credit information responsibly!

And we couldn’t let them leave without BOOKS!

Students browsed tables full of brand-new titles and checked out some new reads. These books were made possible through a generous grant from the Friends of Satsuma, helping us put even more great books into the hands of our students.

A little learning, a lot of exploring, and plenty of new books to start the year! 🐊📚
