The Millage renewal invests directly in the educators who serve Brevard students every day. This is not a new tax.

80% of Millage funding supports employee compensation, including additional pay for instructional personnel based on their years of teaching experience and performance.

At Satellite High School, Mr. Simpkins brings 28 years of teaching experience (24 years at Satellite High School) to the classroom. Mr. Simpkins teaches Algebra 2 Honors and Probability and Statistics and consistently goes above and beyond to help every student succeed, both in his classroom and beyond, while showing his Scorpion pride by supporting students at sporting events, performances, and other school activities. Their experience helps provide students with strong instruction, consistency, and support year after year.

By recognizing the value of experience, Millage-funded compensation increases over time to reward educators for their years of service and dedication to their profession. This investment encourages experienced teachers to continue building their careers in Brevard Public Schools, benefiting both students and school communities.

Strong Schools. Strong Brevard.

The Sales Surtax renewal is paid for by everyone who shops in Brevard and funds major improvements to our school facilities. This is not a new tax.

Sales Surtax funding allows Brevard Public Schools to complete essential projects that keep campuses safe, comfortable, and ready to serve students for years to come.

At Satellite High School, Sales Surtax funding made new gym bleachers possible. This improvement enhances the student experience by providing an updated space to support athletics, school spirit, and memorable Scorpion events.

From updated air-conditioning systems and new roofs to renovated classrooms, playgrounds, tracks, and safety improvements, these investments help ensure our school buildings continue meeting the needs of students and staff.

Strong Schools. Strong Brevard.

Congratulations to our for being selected as Honor choir for the 2026 Candlelight Processional. Student choirs around the country audition for Disney’s annual event. Being chosen as honor choir means the chorus will get three performances instead of one!! The last time the chorus was chosen as honor choir was 2023, when the current seniors were freshman!!

Congratulations to Mr. Albright as well for continuing to make the Scorps one of the best in Brevard County!!!
