My last substack was on the enriching nature of relationships that foster a flourishing life in general, but also enhance happiness in the present moment. Part of the reason relationships are so helpful is that they push us beyond ourselves. In other words, genuine relationships focus on other people. It is easy to become preoccupied with our own personal interests, problems, and activities, but relationships demand our attention. For authentic relationships to develop, we must attend to others’ interests, problems, and activities. Which, surprisingly, is very liberating.

Christ College is a small classical Christian liberal arts college on the Space Coast of Florida, offering a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities & Entrepreneurship. We combine the Great Books with real-world skills — because we believe wisdom and the ability to build something belong together.
Intentionally relational. Genuinely affordable. Unapologetically classical.

Christ College offers a single degree program: a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities and Entrepreneurship. I can see how that might seem like an odd pairing at first, but the two are, in fact, deeply complementary. I’ve found in my conversations that one of the best ways to understand the Christ College curriculum is to see it as an effort to embody the Great Commandment. Let me explain.
In the humanities we learn to see the glory of God in the wonder of God’s creation and learn to love God more deeply with all that we are. In entrepreneurship we learn to practically love others through creating spaces for meaningful work and seeking the common good of the community. In short, every aspect of a Christ College education finds its meaning and focus in worshiping God.

The content of each course is understood as being created, “for him and through him and to him,” and the end of each course is “to him be all glory forever” (Romans 11:36). This is not a replacement for academic rigor but is the very reason and motive for it. Each class is taught by gifted professors trained in their disciplines and engaging thoughtfully with the best literature of the past and present.
