AUDITION NOTICE

Performers needed, age 16+ for the play Things I Should’ve Said, a show about unspoken regrets.

Written, produced and directed by Katie Parsons

Less than one-month commitment

Roles: 8 to 10 performers, any gender

Things I Should’ve Said is a play about the things we meant to say, but didn’t. The show contains multiple storylines and characters, told through monologues and vignettes.

In most cases, roles are not gender or age specific.

All performers age 16+ are encouraged to audition. Performers under the age of 18 who are cast will require a signed parent waiver due to adult-level discussions that occur throughout the show.

Auditions:

Sunday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. at Funky Dog Improv, 587 W. Eau Gallie Boulevard, Melbourne

Prepare up to one minute of a dramatic or comedic monologue; if you’d like to be considered for both dramatic and comedic roles, bring a monologue of each.

Please be prepared to cold read from the script.

Performers who are cast will receive a copy of the full script upon role acceptance.

Rehearsal/Performance Schedule

Rehearsals at Satellite Beach Studio, 664 S. Patrick Drive:

Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. (read through, meet the cast)

Jan. 5, 10, 12, 17, 19 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Tech week at Funky Dog Improv, 587 W. Eau Gallie Blvd:

All Tech rehearsals are mandatory for consideration

Sunday, Jan. 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Tuesday, Jan. 26 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Wednesday, Jan. 27 (TBD) evening

Performances at Funky Dog Improv, 587 W. Eau Gallie Blvd:

Thursday, Jan. 28 at 7 p.m.

Friday, Jan. 29 at 7 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 30 at 2 p.m.

Sunday, Jan. 31 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.

All performers will be cast as volunteers and this opportunity is unpaid.

⭐️ Announcing our Rocketeers Performance Troupe!

These performers will take their love for musical theatre to the community, with events planned on the Space Coast and in Orlando.

The troupe will finish off their season by competing at Magic Fest at Walt Disney World in June.

⭐️ Our acting instructor and coach Jenora Duprey is currently adding students to her private lesson roster.

These 1:1 sessions for adults and youth are tailored to the student and focus on audition prep, role prep, district competition prep, on-screen acting techniques, character analysis, and more.

— Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts with a minor in Dance from West Virginia Wesleyan College.

— 13 years of experience as Theatre Arts Director and Fine Arts Academy Director at Merritt Island High School.

— Current Senior Manager of Public Programs at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.

— Onsite Creative Director for major productions including:
All Systems Are Go: A Tribute to Space featuring the Peanuts gang
Fraggle Rock: A Spacey Adventure- With The Jim Henson Company

— Extensive experience directing, producing, and mentoring students in performance and theatre arts.
