A big THANK YOU to our DeLaura PTO for such an awesome Teacher Appreciation Week! Our staff was treated to an amazing assortment of events including catered meals, room service, an ice cream truck, gift basket giveaways, gift cards and much more! DeLaura is lucky to have such an amazing group of parents that support our school. Thank you to all of the community members, business partners and parents who donated their time and money to make the week so special.

Our Science Research students got in some extra practice today as they presented their projects to a variety of faculty and staff members. We are always so amazed at the effort they put in to their projects and the creative topics they research!

DeLaura had an AWESOME Literacy week complete with door decorating contests, mystery book readers and a LOT of students reading! Thank you to our English Language Arts Department for sponsoring the week and our students for always showing a love of reading!

We are excited that DeLaura Middle is partnering with to gather student feedback over the next few weeks. Students will be taking a survey in their 2nd period class to gather their feedback and insight into their experience here at DeLaura. Student feedback is used to plan for the upcoming year and find ways to make our school even better!

DeLaura's SALT Program sponsored a toy drive and collected close to 50 unwrapped toys for families in need! A big thank you to our students, our SALT team, our community members who donated toys and Mr. & Mrs. Skinner for leading this initiative. The toys were brought to the local fire department to be distributed to families and children to spread the joy of the Holiday season. Great job Scotties!

12/20/21 @ 9:00am: DeLaura’s phones and internet are currently down due to a partial electrical outage at Satellite High. We will update once it is fixed, the school district is working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

Our English department had a fun end of semester celebration this morning as they wished Ms. Wells the best in her retirement. She will be missed and we hope she enjoys the next "chapter" in her story!
