Tuesday and Thursday spots have opened in our 1st-3rd grade groups! We are NOT the best fit for most little ones as we are an academic homeschool program with structured classes, but if you have a Kindergartener who would thrive in this setting, we do not have a strict grade cut off.

Reach out to Erika with questions, to set up a tour, try a day ($50 for 9:30-12:30, $75 for 9:30-2:30), or to snag a spot for the rest of this term!

Our 3rd-5th grade group is full all days this term, BUT I have a student who comes 3 days a week (T-Th) that will be out many days in September and is interested in having another student fill any/all of her spots. Dates are September 9, 10, 22, 23, 24 and 29. If you have a 3rd-5th grade student that would like to try a day (or more) any of these days, please reach out!
We also have 2 out in 3rd-5th tomorrow August 20th - so lots of options for kids in this age group to try a day!
For 5th-7th and 7th-9th grade students, we do still have several regular spots open M, T, W and/or TH - see the updated list of openings in the pinned post and at cclsatellite.com :)

Creative Connections Learning offers unique 3-hour topic based homeschool classes grouped by age where students rotate with their age-mates to 3 different classes each day. Study hall days and stand alone art classes are offered as well.

2.5 weeks of fun & learning at CCL!

Kids have been learning about knots & ropes in maker lab, practicing speaking skills in speech & debate & learning about business in entrepreneurship on Mondays.

Tuesday kids are practicing their Spanish speaking skills, comparing creation myths in comparative mythology & delving into deep thinking in philosophy.

Wednesday kids are starting their geology study in earth science, reviewing ancient history & building writing skills with journaling & a review of writing basics.

And Thursday kids are learning about world music, the elements of art & drawing skills & discussing their first novels of the year in literature.

We’ve kept most of our 25/26 teachers & added a few new teachers. We’ve expanded our 2 Monday groups to 4. I’ve designed 90% of our curriculum this year so that it perfectly matches our groups & 4 9-wk terms. And we’ve added weekly Friday meetups to get the kids together outside of classes.

We’ve built something incredible at Creative Connections Learning & I can’t wait to see all of the growth these kids make in year 5.

We're entering our 2nd week at CCL and still have space in several groups most days! It's not too late to join in on the fun and learning, and when there are openings, kids can try the day for the daily rate ($50/morning, $75/full day) without committing to the term.
Reach out to Erika if you'd like to try a day this week or snag a spot for the term - I can't believe we have any space open with all of these amazing classes!

I have some families wanting to switch out of WEDNESDAY classes! If anyone is looking to enroll for one of our MOST POPULAR days (earth science, world history and writing), reach out asap! We have 1 spot in EACH GROUP - k-3rd, 3rd-5th, 5th-7th AND 7th-9th!

It was a rainy day at the beach, but I’m so happy so many of our friends showed up for our back to school bash today (and glad that I remembered to take some pics at the end - should’ve done that sooner before many left!). The kids had a great time playing games under the pavilion & out in the rain (which was off & on).
I’m so excited for all of our meetups & field trips this year - I’ve always wanted to do more of them, but time always got away from me. This year I’m making them more of a priority & have planned out 2-3 meetups/field trips a month through December. I figured out how to add them to our app so kids & parents can see what’s coming up, and mark themselves as going or interested too!
I love seeing the friendships build during our free times at school, and getting the kids together outside of school really helps them build the connections with their peers in fun & safe settings.
Here’s to many more get togethers in the months & years to come - we’ve built something pretty special at CCL & I’m so grateful for this awesome community of homeschoolers ❤️

Our first few days of the 26/27 school year have been so great! I told myself I’d getting better at picture taking & posting all of the fun things we’re up to this year, and took a good amount Monday, but only 1 on Tuesday 😬 I’ll try to do better today & tomorrow!
Our K-3rd group had story lab, maker lab & game lab on Monday with their new teacher Ms. Tanya, & Mythology, Critical Thinking & Spanish on Tuesday with their new teacher Ms. Jamie.
Our older 3 groups rotated to 3 teachers on Monday: Entrepreneurship with Ms. Jamie, Speech & Debate with Ms. Elise & Maker Lab with Ms. Brooke. On Tuesday they rotated to Comparative Mythology with Mrs. Renae, Philosophy with Ms. Elise & Spanish with Mrs. Gina.
We still have 2 more days of learning & creating this week with earth science, history and writing Wednesday & art, music & literature on Thursday. It’s going to be an AMAZING year 5 at CCL!!!

So excited to kick off the 26/27 school year tomorrow!! We’re all ready to welcome back lots of returning students & welcome many new students into our awesome hybrid homeschool community!
