And we’re back! 🌈☀️

The first day at McAuliffe began with a longtime tradition of coming together as a community. 🩵

Families, staff, and our principal gathered on the front lawn to reconnect and welcome students and families back. Teachers greeted former students with hugs and warm wishes as they headed off to their new classrooms. 💙

In our younger grades, parents joined their children for a first-morning scavenger hunt — exploring the classroom, meeting new friends and teachers, and easing into a new environment together.

A first day filled with familiar faces, new connections, and a whole lot of excitement for the year ahead. 💜

The new year is almost here… ☀️💜

Savoring sweet moments from last year, while getting ready to make new ones…

Our kindergarteners ended the year with the sweetest keepsake — shirts featuring hand-drawn portraits of everyone in their class, lovingly illustrated by one of our talented parent volunteers ( an incredible artist that also helps lead our art curriculum☺️)

A heartfelt thank you to for creating these beautiful portraits, and to the parent who brought them to life on the shirts.

Such a beautiful testament to what happens when parents collaborate and bring their passions, talents, and love into the classroom — our community grows, and our children benefit in meaningful ways. 🥰❤️

We can’t wait to see what the new year brings ☺️

🎓 Graduation Reflections: From Our Incredible 8th Graders 🖤

A reflection filled with gratitude, appreciation, and the hope of giving back even a small part of what was received. 💙

What a reminder that school isn’t just about what we learn or receive. It’s also about what we give, and the difference we make in each other’s lives. 💛

Sometimes, the smallest moments—a simple smile, a quick conversation in the hallway—are what build the strongest communities.

This reflection is a heartfelt reminder of how much we grow when we learn, laugh, and navigate life together from Kindergarten all the way to 8th grade. ✨

It’s never easy to say goodbye to a place that feels like family, but as she reminded us all—no matter where high school takes them, they will always carry each other in their hearts. ❤️

💙 “That’s gonna be me one day.”

As a kindergartener, she remembers everything feeling so big.

The 8th graders looked so tall, so fast, and so loud as they sang together at her very first assembly and scored at a middle school sports game.

Standing there at just five years old, she said to herself, “That’s gonna be me one day.”

Nine years later, she stood on the graduation stage, sharing that memory through a beautiful poem.

She ended with a promise: some students graduate and never come back to visit, but she knows that won’t be her.

Our hope is that every child leaves with more than an education—a community they belong to, one they’ll always carry with them, and a place they know they can always come home to. 🩵

🎓 Graduation Reflections: From Our Incredible 8th Graders ❤️

One of the greatest gifts of a TK–8 school is the opportunity to grow up together and build meaningful relationships that can last a lifetime.

This reflection is about friendship, growing up together, building lifelong memories, and having this special community - the kind you cary with you wherever you go. ✨

💙 “This school became more than just a learning place for me. It became kind of like a second home.”

💚 “I built many relationships, learned from my mistakes, discovered my interests, and created core memories that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life.”

🩵 “ I would also like to thank our families for their love and support. Without you guys, this would not be possible..”

💛 “ To my classmates, many of us have grown up together..We will always have the common experience of growing up at this school.”

💜 “Let’s remember where our journey started, and look forward to everything that lies ahead.”

As he walked onto the stage, and again as he finished, the applause, cheers, and proud voices from the crowd said it all.

What a beautiful reflection of the community he spoke about. It was impossible not to feel the love. 🩷

💙 Happy Father’s Day to all the incredible Dads & Father figures 💙

At McAuliffe, we celebrate fathers in special ways. 💙 Across the grades, students spend time creating meaningful gifts, poems, songs, performances, and little moments filled with love and appreciation for their amazing dads. 🩵

Our kindergarteners celebrated Father’s Day through a special McA tradition that left every dad smiling with pride. 💞

They practiced, rehearsed, learned songs, wrote, crafted, baked, and poured their hearts into every detail. ❤️

They set together with their dads — eye to eye, heart to heart. They handed them poem they wrote about them, they read, they laughed, they sang, they danced, they even acted out a story together… and laughed some more. 😄🥹

Some of the deepest learning can happen through connection, community, and gratitude.✨💗

🎓 Graduation Reflections: From Our Incredible 8th Graders ❤️

Each 8th grader had just 90 seconds to somehow capture their years at McAuliffe.

Their reflections were authentic, funny, heartfelt, and a powerful reminder of the incredible young people they have become. One of those moments where you find yourself thinking, “Wow, look at these kids.” 🤍

This one is about belonging in a community, building confidence, resilience, and finding your voice ✨

❤️ “McAuliffe has felt like a second home to me.”

🧡 “A community where I can learn and grow without feeling judged.”

💛 “I came here in Kindergarten shy and afraid. I didn’t even know how to speak English. Now, in 8th grade, I’m a much more confident and passionate version of myself.”

💚 “How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”

🩵 “If McAuliffe taught me anything, it’s that I can do hard things.”

🎓 Once Little Jaguars, Now Incredible Young People✨
❤️ We’ll Miss Them So Much ❤️

This Friday, our school community came together to celebrate, cheer on, and admire our 8th graders as they prepare for their next adventure in high school.

There was laughter, music, proud tears, and so much love as students shared speeches they had written themselves and performed 3 songs they had chosen and prepared as a class together with our incredible Music Teacher, Kevin. Every student had a part to play — singing or playing an instrument — creating a performance that reflected the friendship, courage, and community they built over the years. They opened with the song - “You can Count on me” 🩵

Looking around the audience, it was impossible not to feel what makes this TK–8 community so special. Younger students cheered them on, families across grades celebrated them, and alumni returned to share in this meaningful milestone.

Some of these students have been Jaguars for most of their childhood. Others joined our community later along the way. No matter when they arrived, each one has left their mark on our school, helped shape our community, and become an important part of the McAuliffe story.

These are young people we have watched grow, learn, stumble, persevere, discover who they are, and find their own unique path.

We are so proud of who they have become, and so excited to see who they become next. Once a Jaguar, always a Jaguar. 💙💚

Congratulations, Class of 2026. We will miss you so much, and we can’t wait to see all the wonderful things ahead of you. ❤️
