22. 偏头痛
（1）印裔男，17岁。初诊（03/15/2018），持续性头痛8周。畏声音， 畏光，戴3层墨镜，自述疼痛部位为眉棱骨，左侧痛重。西医诊断为偏头痛，服用双丙戊酸钠，效不佳。经针灸治疗后，二诊（03/17/2018）时自述头痛无明显改善，整个身体感觉较前轻松。墨镜由3层减为2层。三诊（03/20/2018）时头痛已明显减轻。
（2）墨裔男，43岁。初诊（04/26/2018)，头痛2周。偏头痛病史15年，每年发作1-2次。头痛持续1-3周，止痛药无效。对声光敏感，有时伴有恶心呕吐。疼痛部位在两颞侧和巅顶。 经针灸治疗后，二诊（04/28/2018）时头痛减半。两次治疗后头痛症消。
（3）中裔女，13岁。初诊（04/08/2018），头痛6周。巅顶痛，畏声音， 畏光。尤其畏声音。伴恶心呕吐。初次发作时出现晕厥。西医诊断为偏头痛，给予泰诺，布洛芬效不佳。不能正常上学。针灸治疗2周后，头痛减轻，坚持上半天学。4周后，头痛明显减轻，恢复上整天学。治疗近6周后，头痛症消。

22. Migraine
(1) Male, 17 years old. First visit (03/15/2018), sustained headache for 8 weeks. Irritated by sound, photophobia, wearing 3 layers of sunglasses. Chief complaint is pain in supra-orbital bone, the left side is worse. Western medicine diagnosis is migraine, taken Depakote, effective was not well. After acupuncture treatment, second visit (03/17/2018), the patient didn’t feel significant improvement in headache, though the body felt lighter. The sunglasses are reduced from 3 layers to 2 layers. The third visit (03/20/2018), Headache has been significantly reduced.
(2) Male, 43 years old. First visit (04/26/2018), headache for 2 weeks. Patient’s history of migraine is 15 years, and it occurs 1-2 times per year. The headache lasts for 1-3 weeks every time; painkiller is useless. Patient is sensitive to sound and light, sometimes accompanied by nausea and vomiting. The pain is near the temporal and parietal region. After acupuncture treatment, the headache was reduced 50% in the second visit (04/28/2018). Headache disappeared after two treatments.
(3) Female, 13 years old. First visit (04/04/2018), headache for 6 weeks. Symptoms are Parietal region pain, fear of sound, and photophobia. Patient is especially sensitive to noises. Along with nausea and vomiting. There was syncope at first. Western medicine diagnosis is migraine. She was given Tylenol and Ibuprofen, and it was not effective. The patient could not go to school normally. After 2 weeks of acupuncture treatment, the headache was relieved and the patient can remain in school half the time. After 4 weeks treatment, the patient felt her headache was significantly improved and can go to school normally. After nearly 6 weeks of treatment, headache disappeared.
