Our next blog installment features CAA Student Brighid Kohl.
Brighid was instrumental in creating the You Are Not Alone (YANA) club at CAA. It became so popular that now it is an official class where students check in on each other, take care of their mental health, and help support each other. We are so grateful for Brighid's important contributions and her efforts to create a safe space for all our students.

CAA has launched a new giving campaign in honor of our dear board member, Joe Siecinski, who unexpectedly passed away in April.
Joe was CAA's longtime business mentor and supporter from day one. He helped us grow and scale as an organization and believed that if CAA could raise $1 for every $1 of a student's tuition, that we would be in a financial position to be sustainable and replicable. So, in his honor, we have launched this very personal fundraiser with the goal of raising $150,000 by June 30, 2026.
We are so incredibly grateful to all those who have donated so far. Your contributions are truly changing the life of so many students with IDD who long to pursue higher education opportunities.

Our latest blog post is about CAA board member Ravinder Lal, a small business owner and chamber member who is always looking for ways to help in his community. As the owner of 5 different UPS stores, Ravinder donates not just his time, but also many materials and services to the school. His personal experience with loved ones navigating their own disability inspired him to begin working with CAA, and we are forever grateful for all he does.

Please enjoy our latest blog post on longtime student Jonathan N. If you've ever watched the CAA cheer team, you've probably seen Jonathan there front and center with a smile that lights up the room. He is a stellar performer and wonderful student ambassador for our school. According to Jonathan, CAA has given him a community that has helped push him to grow and develop new goals.
Where the System Ends, CAA Begins. We Built the College We Couldn't Find. CAA Story #15: Student Jonathan N.
After finishing the special education programs in high school, Jonathan Nguyen was able to find a job and fill his time working. And he was content doing so, until he realized that he wanted to push himself and that he was not done learning.
