Tropical Storm Edouard

Due to the tropical storm warning for tomorrow, we are monitoring this system closely. We will continue to gather data on this matter, but at this time school is in session as usual. We will update you as soon as possible if this decision changes.

Another incredible week in the books at West Hardin!
Our students and staff were doing big things across campus:
🏗️ Oiler Flex: Put teamwork to the test with a "tallest tower" building competition!
🗣️ PALS: Practiced clear communication with a blind-instruction drawing challenge.
💡 Interactive Learning: Ms. Burton, Coach Browson, Mr. Granger, and Ms. Vanya brought their lessons to life outside the traditional classroom setup!
📚 7th Grade History: Coach Chesson’s class already has their entry procedures down pat! Students collaborated on vocab prep (and check out that awesome "Today in History" fact on her board!).
🩸 Community Impact: A big shoutout to Life Share for making their first visit of the school year!

📸 REMINDER: School photos are coming up this Tuesday! Dress to impress and bring those big smiles! 😁

Oiler Families,

We wanted to provide you with an update regarding the evacuation that occurred on campus today.

A fire alarm was activated in the Secondary Science Hall. Out of an abundance of caution, all campus buildings were evacuated while the situation was assessed. Students and staff were safe throughout the evacuation and were able to return to their buildings quickly once the all-clear was given.

We are incredibly proud of the way our students and staff responded. Everyone remained calm and followed evacuation procedures quickly and safely.

We appreciate our staff for their quick response and continued care for our students, and we thank our Oiler families for your continued support.
