There are moments when music stops being a performance and becomes a form of prayer.
In many Sufi traditions, melody, rhythm, poetry, and sacred listening—*samāʿ*—can soften the boundaries of the self and draw the heart toward remembrance. When sound is offered with sincere intention, music can become worship: a way of praising Allah, expressing love, and opening ourselves to *wajd*—the spiritual ecstasy of being moved by the Divine.
On Sunday night, the Butterfly Retreat will come alive with an open mic. Bring your instrument, your song, your voice, or simply your presence. Share something prepared, improvise with others, or let yourself be carried by the music unfolding around you.
This is not about perfection or performance.
It is about offering.
Listening.
Remembering.
And discovering what becomes possible when many hearts enter the same rhythm.
