Good day at the NY Open. Yesterday Professors James Bruchac and Harrison Hatton, along with juvenile blue Makaela Fox took part in the IBJJF New York Summer International Open. Professor Harrison, following an impressive quarter final victory by points, took bronze in his weight class, then later in the day, earning an impressive silver in the open class. His only loses coming to division champions. Meanwhile 15 year-old Mak fought once again against one of her favorite rivals, losing a very close finals match 0-0 by one advantage point. Now 2-1 in her match ups with rival Alexi. Unfortunately Professor Bruchac was solo in his division taking home yet another uncontested gold. Our three person crew racking up 1 gold, 2 silvers, and a bronze for the day. Next weekend bringing a bigger crew to the local Sunshine and Submissions tournament in Saratoga Spa State Park.

All Americans! Our small, but powerful, wrestling crew getting things done. This along with a State champion, multiple NYWAY Allstate honors, and multiple Novice State champions. Most holding rank in Jiu-Jitsu, with head wrestling coach/ Alliance Jiu-Jitsu black belt/former All American wrestler Dan Ladd at the helm.

Alliance Saratoga Wrestling Club sent four of their students to Atlantic City on July 21st to compete in the NuWay Combat National Wrestling Championship. Warrior Grappling announces inaugural event. BATTLE OF SARATOGA!!!

Honoring the Battle of Saratoga (1777), widely regarded as the turning point of the American Revolution, where American forces under Horatio Gates and the battlefield leadership of Benedict Arnold defeated British General John Burgoyne, helping secure French support and ultimately American independence. As our nation commemorates the 250th Anniversary of the Revolution, Warrior Grappling is proud to celebrate the history, community, and warrior spirit of our region. More history. More battles. Payments received on or before October 1, 2026:• $75 — Gi or No-Gi• $100 — Gi and No-Gi

Payments received after October 1, 2026:• $100 — Gi or No-Gi• $125 — Gi and No-Gi
