The dance world has lost a beautiful soul. Danny Grossman lit up any room he entered with his wisdom, humor, and passion for dance and choreography. His choreography was a catalyst for him to express his thoughts about humanity and the world. The Skidmore Dance Department was very fortunate to have been a part of his diverse thought provoking choreography. He was also an integral part of the summer Saratoga Dance scene as a valued Guest Artist for the NYS Summer School of Dance where he inspired many generations of dancers and dance makers. Skidmore Dance faculty member Erika Pujic offers this personal tribute: “I was fortunate enough to have danced in several of his works and always felt the power and importance of his work. What I learned from Danny as a mentor and friend, I will carry with me forever.”
The celebrated Canadian choreographer created 67 works and was still planning projects right until the end.
