🎶 A Scholarship Is Just the Beginning

A music scholarship provides lessons, but what grows from that opportunity can go much further.

One of our SMC scholarship students recently shared:

Can you believe we're already more than halfway through August? 🎶

As our August Scholarship Fund Drive continues, we want to share what your support can mean for a young musician and her family.

One SMC scholarship parent recently shared this with us:

“This scholarship has been a life-changing gift for our daughter. At 14, she has found a passion, a source of confidence, and a place where she feels supported and inspired through piano lessons at Sarasota Music Conservatory.

A Saturday Reminder to Retreat 🎶

This week, we had the opportunity to step away from the day-to-day and spend some meaningful time together at our SMC Board Retreat.

What stood out most was the incredible passion and support our board brings to SMC’s mission. An engaged and passionate board makes such a difference, helping guide where we’re going while never losing sight of *why*: creating opportunities for young musicians to learn, grow, and thrive through music.

So, in the spirit of our retreat, here’s your Saturday reminder to retreat a little, too.

Slow down. Take the dog for a walk. Put the phone away for a bit. Listen to something beautiful.

There's another conservatory in town, one with nothing to do with trapezes and clown acts. The Sarasota Music Conservatory serves between 200 and 250 students interested in instruction and performance.
