Homeschool days at Ohana Farm and Gardens

06/05/2026

Our Ohana week was so special this last week ☀️

The laughter, friendships, creek adventures, animal encounters, and joy of being muddy outdoors reminded us exactly why we love creating these experiences.

Because of that, we’ve decided to add a few single Ohana Days in July!

If you’re looking for small-group connection, meaningful friendships, nature play, and a place where kids can simply be kids, send us a message to reserve a spot for one or both of our upcoming Fridays.

The children have shown us what they truly love, and we listen. Creating days filled with exploration and friends 🌱

We are direct step up providers

With the addition of four more ducks and two of the new ones being almost adults the temporary space we had for the 4 stooges is just not big enough now. Even temporary I can’t keep them here till their permanent garden home is gated. Dom and I have a plan!
I still imagine they will come to me to go to bed in the lanai as they have been happy and safe sleeping in my sight for a few months now so that adjustment will happen later. It does not bother me to bring them in at night in fact I look forward to tucking them in but during the day they need more space to roam. Let’s go!

I left for a bit today with the girls and came home to such a wonderful surprise! The boys took a trip to the wildlife center and returned with four more beautiful Pekin ducks that had been surrendered after Easter.
I will mention this is the first surprise live animal gift I have ever gotten from my husband in over 20 years and let me tell you he is speaking my love language!
Although I know they are hard to resist, animals should never be given as Easter presents to little children just because they look cute in a basket. Unless you truly intend to raise and care for them long term, please don’t bring them home just for a “cute day.” These babies deserve a farm, not a cage at a shelter.

They are now exactly where they belong. Welcome to our Ohana little ones☀️

Now what do I call my “Four Stooges” now that they’ve turned into eight

The four stooges VS the watermelon

Had to try the pea video on our ducks today! The little fatties are nearly too full to even finish the peas. I should not have given them snacks before. 😆

The four stooges moved into the garden today, and I can’t believe how big they’ve gotten now that their big feathers are coming in!

In the two hours they were out there, they managed to eat every single leaf off all of the pepper plants… but somehow left every pepper behind

They are WAY too cute to kick out so I just watched them have a buffet and I think we have some work ahead of us over the next few days to make them a bigger space and figure out how to better protect the food and herbs. I do think that we can be in harmony together. I don’t mind sharing but they seem a tad greedy 😆
