Bone Appétit! Exploring Owl Pellets in Fourth Grade 🦉

Today, Ms. Kiner’s fourth-grade class had a “hoot” of a time dissecting owl pellets. Students carefully picked through the pellets like little scientists, uncovering all sorts of surprising bones from rodents—and even a few feathered finds. They then sorted their skeletal “treasures” and organized them neatly on charts, bringing order to the owl’s leftovers. It was a truly unforgettable day of hands-on exploration, discovery, and a bit of bone-afide fun learning about anatomy.

Our 4th graders in Ms. Kiner’s class celebrated Earth Day by rolling up their sleeves and helping clean up our campus! 🗑️

It was a great reminder that taking care of our space—whether at school, home, or in our community—matters. Keeping our surroundings clean and free of debris helps protect God’s creation and shows respect for the place we share.

We’re especially excited to welcome back guest speaker Sara Fleming, Kids Ministry Director from South Shore Community Church 💒 With her engaging energy and heart for kids, Sara always brings meaningful, biblical truth in a way that truly connects with our students and families.

We can’t wait to worship together and share this special moment with our LCA families. It’s going to be a beautiful time of faith, joy, and community! ✝️✨
