Are you guys ready for New Directions?? New Directions is a short play festival featuring first-time student directors here at NCF!
Let’s take a look at this year’s lineup . . . 👀
Achilles & Patroclus by James T. Washburn (Directed by Pluto Boll) - An intimate retelling of Achilles and Patroclus’ relationship from childhood to the events of the Iliad.
The Eulogy by David Pengelly (Directed by Cooper Smalley) - Seesaw is a clown. A sad, lonely, depressed clown who’s job is to watch over humanity's downfalls. They discuss with us their dreams, their ambitions, and the price they would pay to gamble with their own happiness.
Changeling by Monica Cross (Directed by Kyle Miller) - A mother is lost in the forest searching for her missing baby. The forest, which nurtures all who come to her, provides space for both mother and child to meet and reconcile and the chance for them to finally form a bond.
The Dumb Waiter By Harold Pinter (Directed by KC Casey) - The Dumb Waiter is a two-character play set in the basement of an old rooming house, connected to the rooms above by a dumbwaiter and an intercom. Ben and Gus make small talk and wait. It becomes obvious that they are hired killers who are waiting for their victim, whose identity they have not yet been told.

tonight!! 7pm at the waterfront!! so get your songs, skits, and poetry ready and come out to share with us in a judgment free environment!!
🌀
For those who do not know, No Shame is an event where anyone can perform anything! Have a song that you've been wanting to try out? A comedy bit you want to test on a live audience? A poem you want to share with the world? That's what No Shame is for! A safe place where you can perform pieces, no pressure and no shame. Performances are NOT required to be original, but it IS encouraged.
🌀
If you're interested in performing, no need to sign up ahead of time! Just show up at the BBT at 7pm and there will be a sign up sheet there. If you don't want to perform, then bring some friends and enjoy a night of original art created by your fellow students!
