Hello IB Parents! September and October will be big months for college representative visits to our campus and we need your help to make them feel welcomed and appreciated.

Time Commitment: 15 minutes

This opportunity involves meeting the college representative in the main RHS lobby, handing them a pre-made gift bag the IBPO has created and escorting them to the 2nd Floor Student Success Center (above the cafeteria) in Building 6. If you would like to help, please click the "Yes! Sign me up!" link below. It will show you available dates and times. Sign up and you're set! We would kindly ask that if you need to change your sign up, you do so at least 24 hours prior so we have time to find a back up.

Hello IB Families,

Our first IBPO General Meeting is scheduled to take place Tuesday, August 12 at 10:30am. We would love to see you in the Principal's conference room or via Teams.

We will begin with our Executive Board Meeting at 9:30am, followed by our General Meeting at 10:30am. Teams and doors will open at 10:25 am and we will start our General Meeting right on time.

If you are attending in person, please allow time to check in and get your name badge first. We know it is often challenging to get to school at this time but it gives you a great opportunity to meet your fellow parents.

Immediately following the General Meeting, 9th Grade Breakfast with the Principal Committee will be meeting to discuss the preparation for this event, which will take place on September 25th. Our chairman, Mary Beth Afflerbach is looking for volunteers, so if you're interested in helping, please attend this meeting. Can't make the meeting, but interested in helping? Orientation for all is just one week away!

To complete your purchase, you’ll need to bring the following:

A printed and completed Student and Vehicle Information Form
Your driver’s license
Your vehicle registration
Your insurance card (printed or digital)
$35 in cash or a check made out to Riverview High School

Important: You must get your student ID before attempting to purchase a parking pass.

Parking passes will be sold in the attendance office.

Juniors, please note: if you arrive before your designated orientation time, you will be asked to return during your scheduled session.

Great news!! The Senate and House have officially passed the budget and schools will receive 100% funding this year for AP, IB and AICE Programs!!

Summer SAT Prep Class Offering

Just a quick reminder that USF is offering its SAT Summer Institute for high school students (https://www.usf.edu/innovative-education/yxp/summer-camps/usf-sat-summer-institute.aspx USF SAT Summer Institute)

I know many of your juniors (and perhaps some eager sophomores) probably received their score reports. If they’re planning to retake the SAT this fall, this program is a great way to help them prepare.

Help the IBPO send the graduating class of 2025 off in style! We need volunteers to assist with ballroom set up on Monday, May 19th and 20th at 8am at The ORA event space 578 McIntosh Rd. If you ordered a Yard Sign, they are here at the school and ready for pick up at the front office. We realize most of you are no longer on campus and we apologize, but you will need to come to the front office to pick your sign up to display in your yard. This was our last Coffee Cart of this school year.

Our incoming and well seasoned IB parents closed the 2024-25 school year in style at the Calusa Brewery.
Thank you to our outgoing Social Committee, especially Kate and Qiang for all your hard work organizing parents’ social gatherings.
