Ringling College film students shot a theatrical drama/mystery thesis film, Ghost Light, based on director Riley Moore's '26, time in performing arts. The story follows an actress who lands the role of Lady Macbeth in a small-town theater, only to be confronted by unsettling visions of the performer who died during the same production decades earlier. As rehearsals intensify, she becomes entangled in the theater’s past and the legacy left behind. Her grip on reality blurs as she searches for the truth behind the haunting.

Hang in there!

This October, Film students shot a narrative thesis film, A Hill To Die On, a dark comedy about washed-up director Jamie Van Hamn as he clings to his once great superhero franchise. In a last-ditch effort to save face, Jamie recruits a Make-A-Wish kid as the new star of his penultimate movie.

Across 4 shooting days, the crew shot at 2 local Sarasota businesses/residences: Sunnyside Village Senior Living Community, and a beautiful home provided by Michael Saunders & Company, Sarasota Real Estate.

Additionally, A Hill To Die On was also shot in the post-production facility and soundstages in Soundstage A and C, utilizing virtual production.
