What are we looking forward to most this year at Gulf Gate?

The possibilities! 💛

As principals, we’re excited to watch our Tigers grow—not just academically, but as leaders, problem-solvers, friends, and difference-makers. We’re looking forward to seeing students take on new challenges, teachers bring learning to life, families become even more connected to our school, and our brand-new K–6 chapter begin to take shape.

Most of all, we’re excited about the people who make Gulf Gate so special. There’s something pretty amazing about getting to come to school every day and watch students and staff discover just how much they’re capable of.

Here’s to a year of learning, leading, laughing, growing, and LOTS of Tiger Pride! We have a feeling this is going to be a year to remember!

🌿🌊 Eyes on Seagrass with Ms. Holahan! 🌊🌿

Ms. Holahan recently participated in Eyes on Seagrass, an amazing citizen science program that helps scientists better understand and protect the health of our local waterways! 🐢🐟🌱

In partnership with Florida Sea Grant, Mote Marine Laboratory, and Sarasota and Manatee Counties, participants collect important data about seagrass and macroalgae coverage throughout Sarasota Bay.

We love seeing our Gulf Gate educators getting hands-on with science and helping our community learn more about the beautiful ecosystems right in our own backyard! 💙🌎

🎬 She’s featured in the Pee-wee Herman HBO documentary!
📚 Her favorite part of teaching is learning new things.

But her favorite thing about teaching 6th grade? Getting to teach some of her “firsties”—students who were part of her very first year of teaching! 🥹💙
