Today’s the day! 🎓🦉

We are excited to welcome back our graduating seniors for the Gocio Senior Path Parade this afternoon! Seniors and families may begin arriving at 1:00 PM, and the parade will begin promptly at 1:30 PM.

Our students and staff are ready to line the halls and celebrate the Class of 2026 with cheers, signs, and lots of Owl pride! We can’t wait to honor our former Gocio Owls as they take this exciting next step. 💙❤️

Our Gocio Safety Patrols had an amazing time visiting the Sarasota Police Department! Students had the opportunity to explore patrol cars, try on safety vests, and learn firsthand from our incredible officers about safety, teamwork, and service to the community.

We are so thankful for the warm welcome and engaging experience provided to our students. The smiles say it all — they had a fantastic time! Gocio is excited to continue growing this valuable partnership and creating meaningful opportunities for our Owls to learn beyond the classroom. 🦉💙🚓

Creativity + learning = a winning combination! 🎉🦉

One of Ms. Hogue’s students created their very own synonym game and brought it to the office to play with Ms. Johnson! Ms. Johnson was so excited to see the creativity, effort, and vocabulary skills that went into this special project.

We love seeing our Owls take ownership of their learning and proudly share their ideas.

As we wrap up an incredible Teacher Appreciation Week, we want to take a moment to thank the amazing community partners, sponsors, and supporters who helped make this week so special for our staff at Gocio! 💙🦉

Our Gocio families and friends came together and provided our staff with snacks, drinks, and goodies all week long!

🥪On Monday, Gocio admin treated staff to breakfast sandwiches from our friends at Metro Diner!

🥗We are so grateful to Lauren Mitchell, who provided our team with lunch from both Huey Magoos and Jimmy John’s on Tuesday!

🍳On Wednesday, our business partners at the McDonalds Lockwood Ridge location treated us a great breakfast!

🧀Shapiro Law joined forces with admin on Thursday to host the Big Blue Grilled Cheese Truck.

🍝And we closed out the week with a delicious Carrabba’s lunch from admin and dessert from Dr. and Mrs. Sax.

From breakfasts to lunches and everything in between, each gesture reminded our teachers just how valued and appreciated they are. Gocio is truly blessed with a community that rallies around our school, our students, and the educators who make a difference each day. Thank you for helping us celebrate our Hall of Fame-worthy staff! ❤️🤍💙
