Today was our first rehearsal, and our talented Owls are already hard at work preparing for another amazing season of music, movement, and performances! 🎶🕺🎤

We can’t wait to watch these students build their confidence, showcase their talents, and light up the stage this year. 🌟

📅 Students who have PERFECT ATTENDANCE for the month of August will receive a popsicle during lunch! 🎉

🎒🦉The first day of school is almost here, Gocio families! ❤️💙

We know Monday morning will be filled with excitement, big feelings, and LOTS of families! To help our first day run as smoothly as possible, our Front Office will open early on Monday only for uniform sales and parent check-in.

⏰ 7:00–7:45 AM: Uniform Sales & Parent Check-In
👕 7:45–9:00 AM: Uniform Sales Paused
✅ 7:45–8:25 AM: Parent Check-In
🏫 8:10 AM: Parents who have checked in may begin entering campus
🚪 8:25 AM: Anyone already in the check-in line will still be admitted
👕 9:00 AM: Uniform sales will resume, or as soon as the check-in line has cleared

**New student registration begins at 9am**

Most importantly, we ask for your patience. The first day is always a busy one, and our team will be working carefully to welcome families, verify visitors, and ensure the safety and security of every student on our campus. This process may take a little extra time, and we truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Our priority is getting every Owl safely settled in and ready for an amazing first day of learning! 🦉📚

As we get ready for an amazing school year, we're excited to share two wonderful community events that can help your family prepare for the first day of school!

🎒 Backpack distribution: 11:00 AM–1:00 PM (registration required)

This event is hosted by Suncoast Women of Action in partnership with the Sarasota Police Department, All Faith Food Bank, and Innovation Academy SRQ. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

🚌 Don't forget to make your transportation plans before the first day of school!

If your child does not have an active bus assignment in My Ride K-12 by the first day of school, they will not be able to ride the bus home.

✅ Please log in to My Ride K-12 to verify your student's transportation information before school begins.

🚗 If your student is not registered for bus transportation, please make alternate dismissal arrangements for the first day.

Taking a few minutes to check now will help make dismissal safe and smooth for everyone!

To ensure your child is placed on a class roster for Meet Your Teacher on Thursday, August 6, all new student registrations and returning student re-registrations must be completed by Tuesday, August 4 at 12:00 PM.

✅ Please remember that all required documents must be received by our registrar for your registration to be considered complete.

If you haven't finished the process yet, now is the perfect time! We can't wait to welcome our Gocio Owls back for another amazing school year. ❤️💙🦉

Come meet your child's teacher, drop off school supplies, and get ready for an amazing year ahead. This is a great opportunity to see the classroom, ask questions, and kick off the school year with confidence.

August 3 – August 7
🕗 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Can't make it to the office? No problem! Uniforms can also be purchased online through the link on our website. When checking out, please include your student's name, and we'll bag your order for convenient pickup at the front office.
