Wilfred Preschool is a licensed and accredited preschool in the Episcopal Diocese of Florida. Our primary purpose is to offer a thorough and nurturing developmental program which meets the diverse educational, spiritual, and social needs of our young people. Wilfred is open year-round serving children from 2– 5 years of age. We offer full and part-time programs and our hours of operation are Monda
y – Friday from 7am – 5:30pm. Our classrooms are safe, attractive, comfortable, and set up into labeled (pictures and words) learning centers consisting of literacy, dramatic play, woodworking, blocks, sand, water, number concepts, science, cooking, music & movement, table toys. We have a large shaded, fenced playground for active outdoor play. We have a caring, loving and nurturing staff. All of our teachers have B.S. degree in Early Education or Child Development Associate or Equivalency Certificate and all staff are trained in CPR & First Aid. A nutritious snack is provided in the morning and afternoon. Each child brings their own lunch and milk is provided. Every Friday is “Pizza Friday”. Wilfred also offers a Free Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK). This 3-hour/day from August - May program is for all 4-year-old children residing in Florida. Children can stay longer than the three hours for an extended day and pay a “wrap-around” fee. To participate in this program, your child must be 4 years old by September 1st and you must have a Certificate of Eligibility from the Early Learning Coalition.
