SMK is a non-exclusive karate community, advancing a spiritual as well as physical approach to the study of karate. Unlike a traditional organization, we do not issue rank or accreditation, but rather offer resources via various forms of media (in the members section of this site), along with seasonal training retreats designed to provide the individual with materials to construct and augment thei

Mark your calendars for the 2026 California Fall Keiko! Join us at Petaluma Karate Club in downtown Petaluma on October 3 & 4 to train with Rick Hotton Sensei, to explore unique perspectives on the path of finding your own karate. Hotton Sensei hopes to help everyone more fully understand their OWN experience and keep their practice relevant through all stages of life. All are welcome.
