Dear Alumni, Students and Friends,

We are sending this email to announce the Suncoast Auburn Club resuming in person events.
2020 was a difficult year across the nation and because of the COVID pandemic we felt it was best to cancel club events to keep everyone safe. Now that things are opening back up and many have been vaccinated, we are excited to be able to have events again this fall.
We are having a Fall Kickoff Game-Watch Party on Sept 18th for the Penn State game. We will send out more information about the Penn State game and a save-the-date announcement for other game-watch parties closer to football season. We will also be following any of the venues covid protocols.

Hello Alumni and Friends,

2020 has been very different for all of us and I hope everyone is safe & well. I know that we will all get through this together. Due to COVID 19 we have not been able to host any events yet this year and we are still uncertain when we will be able to get back together in person. Fingers crossed for football season! We will however be hosting another virtual get together soon. Also, because we are unable to host a freshmen sendoff like we have done in previous years we are working with the alumni association on having a virtual freshmen sendoff. Be on the look out for updates through email or on our page for these upcoming events. If you are not on our email list and would like to be added just send a message to [email protected] and we will make sure to add you!

During this difficult time for our country and the world we wanted to reach out to all our club and future club members. We hope all of you are staying safe and not going to stir crazy waiting this out at home. We thought it would be a fun idea to host a virtual happy hour with all of our club members to raise a toast and shout “War Eagle!” We will send out that invite via Zoom which will come from our president Jake Tate’s work email. Please feel free to join once we have a date set. Also we will still plan a freshmen sendoff and guest speaking event for the summer if this all clears up before the end of July. We have some other opportunities and venue changes in the pipeline so be on the lookout for an email from the Auburn University Alumni association with information and details. Lastly if you need anything during this difficult time whether it’s toilet paper or just someone to chat with don’t hesitate to reach out to us. Stay safe and hope to talk to you all very soon!

Wanted to share a reminder post that we have an event next Wednesday 2/19/2020 at 6:30pm. We will be going over our club goals and discussing leadership. We will also be viewing the Auburn Vs. Georgia basketball game on the big screen. Details are on the event which was posted 2/4 you can also send an email to my personal email [email protected] and I will send over the details to anyone interested. Please let me know if you would like to attend by Monday 2/17/2020. Let’s grow our Auburn Family in Sarasota County!!

WAR EAGLE TO FINAL FOUR!!!

War Eagle everyone!

Unfortunately we are going to be canceling our game watch for this weekend. We don’t have a big enough response to schedule an event at Geckos. Also had a few last minute things come up where I won’t be able to make the event. We will look to possibly reschedule in the next few weeks.

The officers for the club are meeting on Monday 2/25 to plan our agenda for this year. We had a very successful 2018 and hope to continue this through 2019 and add some new fun events through out the year. Be on the look out for upcoming events.
