Hello Ashton Dads,
Huge thanks to everyone who signed up to help at the Ashton Carnival! We’re almost fully staffed and ready to roll for Friday, Nov 7 (5:00–7:30 PM) — it’s shaping up to be a great night.
We still need:
1 Dad for Shift B (6:00–7:30 PM)
1 Dad to handle shopping (hot dogs, buns, condiments, chips, water)
A couple of floaters to jump in where needed would also be helpful, but not critical.
Everything else is covered — awesome job stepping up, guys! It’s great to see how strong this group is coming together already. If you haven’t grabbed a spot yet, this is your chance to join in on the fun.

Hello Ashton Dads,
The Book Fair was a blast—thanks again to everyone who jumped in. Now it’s time for the Ashton Carnival on Friday, Nov 7, 5:00–7:30 PM—the biggest event of the year. Crowds will be heavy and all food is purchased with tickets, so we’re staffing the Dads stand like a well-oiled machine.
Menu at the Dads Stand for previous Carnivals:
🌭 Grilled hot dogs (on site)
🍟 Chips
🥤 Drinks
What we need (pick a role or shift):
🍴Grillers (2): Keep the dogs rolling (rotate if needed).
🧤 Assembly (2): Buns + build; keep a ready rack stocked.
🎟 Tickets & Hand-off (2): Take tickets, hand out food—speed + accuracy.
🏃♂️ Restock/Runner (1–2): Refill chips/ice/napkins, manage trash, plug bottlenecks.
🆘 ️Floaters (1–2): Jump in where needed.
Shifts (choose one or stay the whole time):
Shift A: 4:30–6:00 PM (setup + first rush)
Shift B: 6:00–7:30 PM (second rush + takedown)

Hello Fellow Ashton Dads,
It’s time to kick off another awesome year of showing up and standing out for our school community!
Our first volunteer event of the year is coming up, and we’ve got a classic on the menu: grilling hot dogs for the Ashton Elementary Book Fair on Thursday, October 9th. The PTO is counting on us to help make the night fun and delicious for all the families attending.
We’re looking for at least 5 volunteers to help us run things smoothly. Here’s how you can jump in:
🔎 1 Dad to handle shopping (hot dogs, buns, condiments, chips, water)
🔥 2 Dads for the 4:00–6:00 PM setup & grill shift
🔥 2 Dads for the 6:00–8:00 PM grill & takedown shift
This is a great way to connect with other dads, support the school, and show the kids what community looks like. Plus—who doesn't love the smell of a grill and a good excuse to hang out?
