Congratulations to all students using their voices and actions to affect real change in safety in our schools and towns. It's important to understand that with politics the way it is, moving the needle even slightly, is huge. The teens did this. Is it enough? Of course not. Now, it's up to parents (and anyone who cares!) and kids turning 18 - to vote. We need to keep moving that needle away from the NRA's stranglehold and towards the absolute right for kids to feel safe in the classroom. Random Thoughts: Walgreen's Drugstore was putting out "Back to School" items. If I were still in school, I sure as HECK wouldn't enjoy seeing that the first week in July. It would be like: DON'T REMIND ME!!!!

I'm looking forward to school starting and 'recruiting' some Teen Bubs and Bubbies for this page. One, of many, questions I'd be curious about is: Have you ever stopped a bully from attacking someone else?

In defense of teens EVERYWHERE!!!! Parents really need to listen to you. It doesn't matter if you're 8 or 80, everyone deserves a voice. And you deserve more than a "NO" - an explanation would be nice so you can understand. Try not to turn a conversation into an argument. End it with something like - 'well, we're not on the same page, but thanks for explaining. I appreciate that you listen to me, even when we disagree." I would hate to be preached to, without being able to express my views!
