Our CEO, Larissa Lippe, started Smart Kids Tutor LLC while still in high school, inspired by the challenges of remote learning during the pandemic. What began with just one student has grown into a team of 30 tutors, all dedicated to peer-to-peer support. Larissa is also launching a nonprofit to bring affordable tutoring to students in need.

In a recent interview, Larissa shares her journey, the importance of resilience, and her vision for the future of education. Her insights on turning challenges into opportunities are a must-listen for aspiring entrepreneurs.

Support your local schools! Last weekend SKT went to our 2nd Day for Hope event and gave even more school supplies and tutoring to Gulf Gate elementary students. We love Sarasota schools 📚💜☀️

We’re gearing up for back-to-school with Day for Hope! Today community partners joined together to support local low-income students at Phillipi Shores elementary, and SKT gave out free school supplies and discounted tutoring. We love the Smart Kids Tutor Foundation and our mission to provide access to quality education for all. Happy last month of summer break! 💜🐘✏️

We are thrilled to announce our first Smart Kids Tutor of the Month: Mia!

Mia has gone above and beyond with Smart Kids Tutor and the community this quarter. In March and April, she ran a very successful school supplies drive at Riverview High where she collected more than 500 school supplies! These supplies (totaling more than $3,000) will be donated to elementary schools in Sarasota County this fall.

This summer, Mia is also volunteering with the Smart Kids Tutor Foundation! Mia will be joining our grant writing team, helping us to build programs supporting low-income students.

Mia’s students are all super stars too! Thank you Mia for your hard work, kindness, and generosity. We’re so glad to have you on our team. 💜🐘
