Mental health affects all of us, but accessing care can be especially challenging in rural communities like ours.

On Friday, Oct. 30, North Country Community College will bring together local mental and behavioral health professionals for a community conversation about the challenges facing residents of the North Country — and the resources and support available close to home. The discussion will explore barriers to care, available services and how we can continue reducing the stigma around talking about mental health and seeking support.

Check this link for more: https://www.nccc.edu/news-events/mental-health-symposium.html

Whether you’re a community member, health care or service provider, educator, student, or simply interested in learning more about mental health resources in our region, we hope you’ll join the conversation.

🎓 More support. Fewer barriers. A clearer path to graduation.

North Country Community College has officially launched ASAP — Advancing Success in Associate Pathways, a new program designed to help students stay on track, overcome challenges and earn their degrees on time.

Through ASAP, eligible students can receive personalized advising and academic support, career development opportunities, and financial assistance for expenses such as textbooks, groceries and transportation.

We received $318,000 in new state funding to bring this proven student-success model to North Country, with plans to serve 150 students this fall.

See the link below to learn more about the ASAP program.
