The North Country Community College Cross Country team started its inaugrial season during the fall of 2010 season. During that season Freshman Micah Long (Tully) finisehd 6th at the Mountain Valley Conference cross country championships. During his Sophomore season of 2011 he finished 14th at The Region III Championship at Alfred State. In the second season (Fall 2011) The North Country Community
College Cross Country team competed for the first time at the NJCAA National meet held at Holyoke CC held in Mass. Freshman Josh Cook (Ticonderoga) finished 30th in a time of 28:08. Sophomore, Micah Long (Tullly) finished 74th in a time 0f 29:57. Frexhman, Matt Saulpaugh (Lake Placid) finished 87th in a time of 30:19. Alex Goff (Lake Placid) finished 107th in a time of 31:18. Bryan Besaw from Saranac lake HS finished 138th with a time of 34:02. A total of 154 runners finished the race. Kaylan Short (Northeastern Clinton) finished the race in 22:13 finishing 46th overall. Zac Wicks( who is a freshman also ran most of the season for the team. Coach Tyldesley reports that recruiting is going well for next season. Nestor Pabilona and Jonathan Celaya from Far East Rockaway in Queens, New York have made committments to North Country. Tyler Belleau a very talented runner from Porsdam, New York has indicated that he will continue to run and study x-ray Technology at NCCC. Josh Brown from Central Square HS has indicated that he will pursue running and Criminal Justice at NCCC. Britney Clay from Canojaharie has indicated that she will study and run cross country at NCCC. Diane Tracy (Webster), Steven Poulter(Australia) and Octavio Navarro (Plattsburgh) have all indicated that they will run cross country in North Country Saints uniforms next season. Several other young men and women are considering North Country for the next fall. Coach Tyldesley said "it looks like we will take another step forward on both the women's and the men's sides for 2012."
