This week, we’re learning all about friendships, and what better way to build those friendships than by creating together?

BA Bay Minette, Discovery room students, enjoyed some relaxed drawing time together, laying on their bellies with a big sheet of paper, sharing their space, talking about what they were drawing, and enjoying one another’s company.

It may look like “just drawing,” but so much more is happening! They’re practicing communication, sharing, taking turns, listening to their friends’ ideas, and learning how to enjoy activities together.

We are so excited to see their friendships grow throughout the school year!

Mackenzie and Evan did an awesome job working on their tracing sheets! Discovery room students are not only practicing letters and words, but also building those important fine-motor skills—like developing a proper pencil grip, controlling their movements, and forming letters with confidence. 💪✏️

It’s so exciting to see how much they’re already learning, and we can’t wait to watch their writing skills grow throughout the school year! By the end of the year, we’ll be looking back at these first attempts and seeing just how far they’ve come.
