It was a great day for learning with this AWESOME scholar! This was our first session, and we focused on “all things” ACT Science. She’s preparing to tackle the September ACT exam.

This AWESOME scholar is a senior at Baker High School, where she takes AP courses. She plays the saxophone in the marching band. She’s a proud member of the National Honor Society and Ambassador program. Aside from her busy schedule, she enjoys serving on the Media Team at her local church and playing club volleyball for South Alabama Volleyball Academy (SAVA). Her sights are set on Auburn University, pursuing a Biomedical/Health Sciences degree. You’ve got this! ACT Up, Dailyn!

This AWESOME scholar is a senior at Saraland High School, where she’s a proud a member of the National Honor Society, HOSA, Student Government Association, Yearbook staff, and Project Outreach. She’s an AP scholar, and she participates in dual enrollment courses through the University of Mobile. Aside from her busy schedule, she enjoys serving as a leader with several organizations: Junior Chamber Ambassador, South’s Youth Leadership Program, and Angel’s Formal Wear Ambassador. Her sights are set on Auburn University, pursuing a degree in Animal Sciences. You’ve got this! ACT Up, Ella!

Great things are happening in Clarke County, and it’s only going to get better! I am absolutely thrilled to facilitate my upcoming professional development workshop with the incredible educators at Jackson High School.

Last year’s junior class set a phenomenal standard, achieving a staggering 18-point increase in ELA proficiency and a 4-point increase in math on the state report card. This professional development will definitely keep the positive momentum going! I know these teachers are ready to build on their incredible success and take student achievement to the next level.

It’s time to strengthen instructional effectiveness and improve student achievement!
