The 2026 Saraland High School Softball AHSAA State Champions were honored by Mayor Joe McDonald and the Saraland City Council with an official proclamation recognizing their historic season—and the “Mudita-driven” culture behind it.

Mudita is finding genuine joy in the success of others, and these Lady Spartans showed what can happen when teammates celebrate one another, work together, and put team success first.

A special thank you to the families who supported, encouraged, and cheered them on all season long. This championship was a team effort on and off the field. ❤️🤍🥎

Thank you, Mrs. DeMattei, for consistently demonstrating what it means to be ALL IN. Today, she stepped in to help Mrs. Crane resolve a technology issue and provided additional resources so students could continue learning. She wears many hats at the Early Ed Center and quietly works behind the scenes to help others. Her positive attitude and willingness to step in reflect .

Peanut Butter Jelly Time — a new spin on “Turn and Talk” 🍇⏰

Using a Kagan structure, kindergarten partners took turns sharing where they would go if their imaginations could take them anywhere! 💭✨ Peanut Butters first, then Jellies!

Students in Introduction to Engineering Design at Saraland High School are honing their engineering skills by designing and building catapults. This hands-on learning activity involves:

• Budgeting resources
• Testing their designs 10 times to measure velocity
• Making necessary adjustments
• Graphing their results

The competition for the best catapult is set for Friday. Career and Technical Education is learning that works.
