Get ready to show off your Strayhorn High School pride! 🎶

Our official 2026 Marching Band Shirts are here, featuring the names of every single marching band student right on the shirt! It’s the perfect way to represent our awesome band family this season.

Marching Band Members: Band dues cover one long-sleeve shirt for every marching student, so parents do not need to purchase that basic long-sleeve for their band member!

Our next 'Band Member of the Week' is Maezy Jackson. This time we wanted to feature one of newest member. With this being her first year in our marching, she has stepped up and is performing far ahead of where she should be. We appreciate all she does everyday to better herself and our band.

'Band Member of the Week'
Our next 'Band Member of the Week' is Riley Raines! This is her 3rd year marching in our trumpet line, and this year she took up the role as one of our high brass section leader. She has step up into this role amazingly and has set one of the best examples for band program. We appreciate everything she does everyday and what she will do to better our program.

Riley Fun Fact: She will be running a 10K at the St. Jude Marathon Dec. 5th.

'Band Member of the Week'
Our second 'Band Member of the Week' is Sarah Overall! This is her 3rd year on our color guard line, and this year she took up the role as one of our guard captains. She has helped our guard line this year learn their routine and encouraged them to be better than they were yesterday. We appreciate every day she comes in with a smile. We thank you for all your hard work.

Sarah Fun Fact: She had surgery on her eyeball when she was born.

So proud of this band! 🥁🎺 We had 100% attendance today despite it being our absolute hottest rehearsal yet and working through a few conflicts. Everyone pushed through the heat, gave all their energy, and worked so hard out on the field. This group’s dedication is unmatched! 🔥👏

We are excited to announce a new recognition program for our band students who go above and beyond. We want to recognize them for their outstanding accomplishments and the great example they set.

'Band Member of the Week'

Our first 'Band Member of the Week' is Ada Williams! She has been our drumline captain for two years now and helped push the drumline to superior ratings last year—and is doing so again this year. She plans many fun and creative activities for our band program, like our spirit day during band camp. We appreciate everything she does to set a great example for our program.

Welcome back for the first day of school, everyone! While today is Day 1 for most, our dedicated band members have already been at it for weeks. So much hard work, sweat, and fun went into making band camp a huge success. A massive thank you to our parents, students, staff, and administration for making it all happen!
