A great 1915 video about Balboa Park's history. The 1915 the Panama-California Exposition in San Diego celebrated the opening of the Panama Canal and promoted the city as the first U.S. port of call for ships coming through it. It ran from January 1, 1915, to January 1, 1917.

This is a photo of Williamson Dairy, about 1912, prior to being purchased by Walter C Dupee, of Chicago, for his son Walter H Dupee. The father purchased the dairy farm to keep Walter safe. His son was involved in an affair while in Chicago, in which the woman's husband tried to kill him. To say the least, Walter loved polo, woman and drinking. The dairy was renamed Edgemoor, after the family's homestead in Chicago.
