Teach-N-Tutor

Teach-n-Tutor has part time hours available to help students in Tierrasanta. The pay is $18 - $20 hr. depending on experience. Here are the hours and locations I have available.

Tuesdays at Farb Middle school 12:59-1:55 : at Deportola Middle School 2:55-3:50 : at Serra High School 12:20-1:17.

Wednesdays at Deportola Middle School from 2:55-3:50

Thursdays at Farb Middle School 11:30-12:16 and 1:44-2:30: Serra High School 9:38-10:35 and 12:20-1:17.

What Doesn't Work: Literacy Practices We Should Abandon Literacy strategies that waste instructional time include looking up words on lists, prizes for reading, weekly spelling tests, unsupported independent reading, and denial of recess.

Starting in December, Teach-n-Tutor will be providing AVID tutoring to students at three schools in Tierrasanta. This will be part of a grant and in conjunction with SDUSD. We look forward to this exciting opportunity!!

TnT received a perfect 10 rating from San Diego Unified School District! We served 150+ students this year with an average growth of 10% on their post assessment. That's great growth for 18 hours of tutoring! Way to go tutors!!

Teach-n-Tutor continues to receive students in San Diego. Just this week we received 10 new students from San Diego City Schools! If you would like to help kids achieve their academic goals let us know and we'll put you on the path to being an academic tutor. TnT is currently working with 1,300+ students from Sacramento to the Mexican Border. We are very proud of our tutors and the difference they're making in the lives of California youths!

TnT is very excited to be given 40+ kids in the Lemon Grove Unified school district! We have worked with Lemon Grove for over five years and have developed a great relationship with the schools and community. We look forward to providing their students with the quality academic assistance that they deserve!

Teach-n-Tutor is getting busy for the 2015-16 school year! We are helping 100 students in the La Mesa/Spring Valley School District, 40 students in the Lakeside School District, 60 students in Southbay, 22 in Poway, and more in the greater San Diego area!
