I want to take some time as we enter into our last week of school to brag about my amazing Middle Schoolers.

Based on MAPS RIT Scores 88% of the Middle School Students showed Growth from Fall to Spring in Math.

100% of 6th Graders
88% of 7th Graders
75% of 8th Graders

THEY SHOULD ALL BE PROUD OF THEMSELVES!!!

Mrs. Tucker, Ms. Zoucha, and myself set high expectations for students this year and they rose to the occasion.

NO EXCUSES, NO STOPPING, ISANTI MIDDLE SCHOOLERS are RISING to the CHALLENGE and MOVING the NEEDLE FORWARD!!!!

During our time off for Virtual Learning I have asked each student to complete the following:

1. Work on the Math Pages that were sent home.

2. In addition I would like each of them to follow my school page, not my personal page, and shoot me a PM each day of school letting me know how they are doing on their work.

Middle School Warrior Success Store is ready for business.

The Middle School teachers are rewarding students for making good choices this year. During each Core class, Math, ELA, Social Studies, and Science, each student can earn a point for each of the things, Keeping their phone away or in the chargers, engagement in class, and no foul language. They can earn 12 points per day.

We are proud to announce that phones are a minor issue in the Middle School. Foul language is rarely heard in the classroom and student engagement is high.

One of the things that Mrs. Tucker’s Classroom - Santee Community School and I have decided to offer our kids is a cell phone charging station.

We recognize that phones are tough to give up but we are offering the opportunity to charge their phone while in classes. It would then be available during lunch and fully charged for the end of the day.

If you have a Middle Schooler (6-8 grade). Please talk to them about choosing this option.

I want to apologize to each and everyone of you.

Yesterday I delivered a message to you that we would be full virtual until Christmas. After the board meeting it appears that the decision was changed.

I am very excited to have you in school as I believe that it is the best place for you to learn and grow. For those that will be needing the virtual option it will take me a couple days to figure out the best way to deliver that to you.

Teaching you brings me the greatest joy and again I want to apologize. To the best of my ability I will always be truthful with you.
