Just over here getting ready for our days of professional development! ❤️
Our preschool community knows that I moved my son to college this week. And one question everyone kept asking was: “What are you going to do your first weekend with Frankie away?”
Here it is. 😅📚 Besides cry! 😭
Diving deep into intentional planning for our upcoming PDD—because in our early childhood community, professional learning is one of our love languages.
Early childhood educators rarely get uninterrupted, meaningful time to pause, reflect, think deeply, and truly listen to one another. So this year, we’re making space for exactly that.
Our teaching invitation for this year is Storytelling.
We’re beginning with Ann Pelo and Margie Carter’s “Using Good Stories to Reimagine Professional Learning” and leaning into questions about the stories we tell about children, ourselves, and our work:
-What stories do we want children to hear about themselves?
-What kind of storytellers do we want to be?
-What ideas and values do we want to call forward in our stories?
These first few slides are just the beginning. Here’s to intentional planning, deep reflection, good questions, and creating the kind of professional learning our educators deserve. ❤️
