📣 We're hiring! Program Coordinator (Bilingual in English and Spanish)

Want to help Sonoma County high school students find their path from classroom to career? Join CTE Foundation as our next Program Coordinator.

In this full-time role, you'll advise students one-on-one, lead career-readiness workshops, recruit local employers to host interns, and help run Path to Purpose, our countywide internship program for high school juniors and seniors.

What we're looking for:
✅ Bilingual in English and Spanish
✅ 1–2 years of experience working with youth or young adults
✅ Confidence presenting to groups and building relationships with schools and employers

At the beginning of his internship, Dante was worried he wouldn't be taken seriously.

"I was kind of worried at first, trying to prove that I have some technical know-how... presenting myself as someone competent."

By May: "I could definitely see myself doing something in the electrical field."

In between - four months as an operations intern at LEMO USA, Inc. in Rohnert Park through our Path to Purpose program. Real production work. An engineer who kept asking him back. A soldering iron. And a first paycheck.

"It feels like I'm actually working as an employee - and getting a paycheck on top of that makes it feel that much more real."

Thank you, LEMO USA, Inc. You gave a high school student the floor, the tools, and your team's time. That's why Dante now has his first step on his Path to Purpose.

This spring, Path to Purpose had 105 students across 42 Sonoma County employers work 4,335 paid internship hours. 91% of students said they feel more prepared for their future. One in four students were asked to continue their internship past their required hours - Dante among them.

Step Up for Students this September! 🎓

This spring, Path to Purpose placed 105 Sonoma County high school students in paid internships, and the results speak for themselves:

✅ 91% feel more prepared for their future
✅ 87% grew in confidence, responsibility & communication
✅ 1 in 4 were asked to stay on past their internship

Students like Dante, who went from wondering if he belonged at LEMO USA, Inc. to being the intern an engineer kept asking for by name. 🔌

This spring, we're aiming to place 150 students, and we can't do it alone. It costs $1,500 to support one intern through the full experience, from employer recruitment to coaching and advising.

Path to Purpose Virtual Workshop | Friday, September 11

🕙 10:00 AM - Internship Design Workshop

A couple of months can make a lifetime of difference! High school juniors and seniors from across Sonoma County are ready to step into your workplace as interns between February and May 2027 - and we do the heavy lifting to get them there. Student outreach, prep, screening, placement. You bring the work; we bring the intern.

At 9:00, we'll walk you through how the program works and what hosting actually looks like (spoiler: 50+ hours total, paid and unpaid opportunities welcome, wraparound support the whole way).

At 10:00, stick around and we'll help you build the thing - a real internship designed around your team, your projects, and what you actually need. You'll leave with a plan, not a pamphlet.

Two hours on a Friday morning. One future welder, nurse, engineer, broadcaster, or business owner who got their start because you said YES!

Join us Saturday, September 12, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM for the Application & Internship Prep Workshop. Three hours, and you walk out with your internship application in a great place.

Their $10,000 grant to Path to Purpose helps Sonoma County students experience real careers in Sonoma County - and come out more experienced.

Last spring, 42 local employers welcomed 105 students into real workplaces for 4,335 hours of meaningful work. 91% of those interns left feeling more prepared for their future. 87% reported stronger confidence, responsibility and communication skills.
