SRJC NextUp & Bear Cub Scholars We support eligible current and former foster youth attending the SRJC

In the Spring of 2016, Santa Rosa Junior College was awarded funding for the NextUp/CAFYES program. We are one of ten districts in California that was awarded this funding to provide additional educational services & benefits to current and former foster youth. This program is part of Extended Opportunity Programs & Services (EOPS) and we are located on the 2nd floor of Bertolini Student Services

Center, Room 4722 on the Santa Rosa campus. We have office hours every Wednesday, 1 pm to 4 pm in Kathleen Doyle Hall Resource Center, Room 214 on the Petaluma campus. To qualify for NextUp/CAFYES:
 Be EOPS Eligible
 Enrolling in minimum of 9 units your first semester in the program (unless approved for less units through Disability Resource Department)
 A current or former foster youth in California whose dependency was established or continued by the court on or after the youth’s 16th birthday
 No older than 25 years of age at the beginning of the academic year

We provide academic counseling, grants for housing, transportation and childcare, meal vouchers, emergency food and gas cards, book vouchers, parking permits, bus passes, referrals to resources, and access to a dedicated therapist on-campus. SRJC ALERT: All District Campuses & Sites Are Closed Today, Friday, August 4th

Due the network connectivity issues Santa Rosa Junior College is experiencing, all District campuses & sites are closed today, 8/4, beginning at 11 am. All activities and classes, including online classes and services, are canceled.

Exceptions to this closure include Public Safety Training Center, outdoor athletic activities at the Santa Rosa campus, Student Health Services appointments for student-athlete physicals, and student-athlete concussion testing in Maggini Hall.

At this time,we are also experiencing sporadic email functionality. So, please be patient with email responses.

We will continue to monitor the situation and will send updates as to campus closures and conditions.
