The Sustainable SRJC program will host its annual Green Living Fair on October 22, 2026, 3:30-5:30 p.m., on the Santa Rosa Campus Quad. The event brings students, faculty, staff, and community members together to learn practical ways to make more sustainable choices and extend the life of the things they own.
The event will focus on reuse and repair, with SRJC clubs, local groups, and community organizations sharing information and hands-on resources for reducing waste. Attendees can learn about repair, recycling, and other ways to keep useful items in circulation rather than sending them to the landfill.
The Green Living Fair will feature a variety of activities and resources, including:
- A garment mending bar for simple clothing repairs
- A clothing swap to give gently used clothing a new home
- Bicycle repair assistance
- Small appliance repair
- Freecycle giveaways featuring items available for reuse
- Upcycled crafts and other creative reuse activities
