* 2nd & 3rd grade & 4th/5th
remedial to advanced

I provide private 1st-4th math instruction coordinated for your chid's needs, from remedial to advanced elementary curriculum. Many families are adjusting to rapidly changing and more stringent standards for current academic expectations. Kindergarten fluency in mathematics is no longer an option. Fourth graders' homework may deal with topics their parents learned in 9th grade. California standards and benchmarks have significantly advanced in recent years. Changes in textbooks, terminology and instructional training have an adjustment period for students, families and teachers. If a boy or girl doesn't have a solid math grounding by the 2nd or 3rd grade, the demands of the next grade's more complex operations may leave them guessing.
