The LIME Foundation These are populations that are in dire need of roof and other repairs, but because of financial lack, they continue to suffer through severe disrepair.

The LIME Foundation has three principal program pillars: NextGen Trades Academy to support job placement and workforce development for youth ages 16-24, Turner Arts Initiative for youth arts development, and Senior Activities Program for senior health. After years as a successful small business owner (ARS Roofing), LIME Foundation’s Founder, Letitia Hanke, recognized that she was totally missing

vast groups of disadvantaged seniors, the disabled, veterans and low-income families. It is because of this, that she formed The LIME Foundation. In addition to our premier agenda (Roofing & Construction Vocational Program (RCVP)), The LIME Foundation offers a youth arts program (Turner Arts Initiative), and services for seniors (Senior Activities Program) with future programs planned to further empower youth and the disadvantaged. Our mission to is to empower seniors, youth and low-income families with their struggles in life.

We’re incredibly grateful to The Community Voice for shining a spotlight on The LIME Foundation and our NextGen Trades Academy!

The NextGen Trades Academy is all about opening doors for young people and creating real pathways into careers in the skilled trades. Through hands-on training, mentorship, industry exposure, and career development, our students gain the skills and confidence they need to take their next steps toward a successful future.

This feature comes at such a meaningful time as we celebrate our graduates and the hard work they’ve put into building their futures. Seeing our students cross the graduation stage is a reminder of what’s possible when young people are given access to opportunity, support, and a community that believes in them.

With 144 graduates this year, we are incredibly proud of the momentum behind our programs and the growing community of employers, instructors, partners, families, and supporters who continue to invest in the next generation.

Thank you to The Community Voice for helping us share the story of our students and the impact of the NextGen Trades Academy. We’re proud to celebrate our graduates and everything they’re capable of accomplishing. 💚🛠️
