Studies show that playing a musical instrument engages the whole brain and helps increase academic success in all subjects. It also increases emotional sensitivity/intelligence, enriches language, literacy, and motor skills, and it helps boost confidence when facing an obstacle or challenge. Learning to play an instrument has so many benefits and is a natural antidepressant…something that has been so key on my journey toward health and wholeness.
