Hello new and returning Bearcubs! On behalf of Student Life, I’d like to welcome you to what promises to be a fall semester we may never forget. With COVID-19, our fight for racial justice, the latest news on climate change, and the upcoming presidential election, never have the possibilities to make a difference been so important and abundant. The weekly Bearfacts newsletter is one way to hear about how to get involved, and the MySRJCApp is your mobile resource for all things SRJC.
Our commitment is to provide you with compelling opportunities and transformative experiences in leadership, advocacy, service and cross-cultural understanding. Our team of dedicated Student Life professionals is ready to serve and support you as you engage in the many adventures of the college experience. Our programs and services include Student Government and Clubs, our Sustainability Programs, our new Intercultural Center, our Food and Housing support programs, our Transportation Programs, and much more. In addition, your student health fee pays for both physical and mental health services where you have access to nurse practitioners and therapists in Student Health Services. We promise to provide comprehensive remote experiences for the fall semester.
Our team will support and enhance your academic coursework with out-of-the-class activities and events meant to give meaning and purpose to your personal development. Students who are involved in our programs have a 95% chance of completing fall semester and continuing to spring semester. Not only do you improve your chances of academic success, but you also develop skills coveted by employers and transfer institutions, including teambuilding, problem-solving and communication skills. Wherever you are in life, whatever your interests, there’s something for you in Student Life. We look forward to working together to support your success. Don’t hesitate to connect if you need anything.
