Harmony Drum Circles programs invite self-expression while having fun making rhythmic sound and music. Drum circles become a safe place for each participant to be confident and comfortable as a contributing member of the group.

Patricia Hatfield was asked by Park View Gardens to work with the Occupational Therapist and Activity Director to help design a drumming program that would support the residents with dementia to participate fully in a program with drumming and rhythm.

The impact of Patricia’s work with Park View was highlighted in a Press Democrat article about drumming for dementia patients.
