Dear Preschool Families, ❤️

First and foremost, we hope that each of you and your loved ones are safe following the devastating hurricane that impacted our community. Our hearts are with every family navigating the aftermath, whether you are dealing with property damage, power outages, cleanup, or simply the emotional exhaustion that comes with experiencing a storm of this magnitude.

We understand that life has been anything but normal over the past several days. Many families are just beginning to regain power, assess damage, and put the pieces back together. Please know that you have been in our thoughts and prayers throughout this difficult time.

With Walton County announcing that schools will resume on Wednesday, Community Church Preschool will officially reopen tomorrow, Wednesday, October 14, and resume our normal operating hours.

While we recognize that our community still has a long road to recovery, we also believe that returning to familiar routines can bring a much-needed sense of comfort, stability, and normalcy, especially for our little ones. Children thrive on consistency, and we look forward to welcoming them back into a safe, loving, and familiar environment where they can learn, play, laugh, and simply enjoy being children again.

We also want to extend grace and understanding to every family during this time. We know that everyone’s circumstances are different, and some families may need additional time before returning. Please do not hesitate to communicate with us if your family is facing challenges that may affect your child’s attendance.

As a faith-based preschool, we are reminded that even in the most difficult moments, we are never alone. We will continue praying for our families, our neighbors, our first responders, and everyone working tirelessly to help our community recover.

Thank you for being part of our preschool family. We are more than just a school; we are a community that cares for, encourages, and supports one another through both the joyful moments and the difficult ones.

We cannot wait to see those sweet little faces, hear their laughter filling our classrooms, and begin finding our way back to normal together. ❤️

✝️💛 Growing Little Hearts Through the Beatitudes 💛✝️

At Community Church Preschool, we believe some of the most important lessons we can teach our children are lessons of the heart. This year, our little learners are exploring the Beatitudes and discovering what Jesus teaches us about the kind of people He wants us to be. 🌿

Through Bible stories, Chapel, classroom conversations, songs, and everyday moments, we’re helping our preschoolers understand what it looks like to be caring, gentle, kind, compassionate, forgiving, and loving toward others. ❤️

The Beatitudes may contain BIG lessons, but even our littlest learners can begin putting them into practice—comforting a sad friend, using gentle hands, sharing with others, choosing kind words, helping someone in need, and showing love just as Jesus did. 🥰

Our goal is not only to prepare children academically for what comes next, but to help build a strong foundation of faith and character that they can carry with them throughout their lives.

💚🌿 Weekly Devotion: The Be Attitude of GENTLENESS 🌿💚

This week at Community Church Preschool, we are continuing our journey through the Beatitudes and focusing on what it means to be gentle.

📖 “Happy are those who are gentle.” — Matthew 5:5

Our little learners are discovering that being gentle is about more than using gentle hands. It means using kind words, a calm voice, patience, respect, and caring actions toward our friends and the people around us. ✝️❤️

We’ll be talking about the many ways Jesus showed gentleness and practicing what that can look like in our own lives—waiting patiently for a turn, helping a friend, taking care of our toys, using kind words, and choosing gentle hands even when we’re frustrated.

🏡 Try it at home: At the end of each day, ask your child, “How did you show gentleness today?” Celebrate those little moments when they choose kindness and patience!

🌱 Our Be Attitude: GENTLE
