Fun fact: I love being an advocate for my public school families.
IEP meetings don't have to be stressful. When you have someone in your corner who knows your expectations, knows your child, and knows how the school system actually works — the whole process becomes so much more manageable.
Understanding what's educationally possible helps set your student up for success, especially when it feels like you've already tried everything.
I taught in the classroom for 12 years, and both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees are in Collaborative Special Education. My role now is simple: I'm here to be a voice for you and your student, helping the school understand exactly how to support your child's needs.
You don't have to walk into that room alone.
