Good Samaritan Institute, Inc. "GSI" We seek to solve previously unsolvable problems with science, tech, AI, conservation, and DeFi. Our mission is to facilitate solutions.

Solutions made possible by sharing of useful scientific information between researchers and oncologists. We accomplish this by conducting workshops at our headquarters in beautiful Santa Rosa Beach Florida. GSI also publishes BestinScience.com, a web magazine created for technique oriented scientists. We chronicle the best biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, imaging, mathematics, mi

crobiology and nanotechnology. The Santa Rosa Project (SRP) will combine a mix of science and world class recreation. Our creative environment will facilitate creative solutions. Researchers, engineers, physicians and technology companies will participate in short sabbaticals. We will showcase the newest science equipment and techniques. Our purpose is to advance enabling cancer treatments. A week of the SRP goes something like this.. Our fellow scientist has nominated us for participation in the Santa Rosa project. We participate in web-based group discussions. Our comments have been rated highly and voted up by our scientific peers. We are picked (and funded) to travel to Northwest Florida. After arriving in Florida’s newest International Airport (Southwest airlines), we drive 40 minutes (with minimal traffic) to the campus. We meet in interactive workshops to reach consensus. In the mornings, we discuss of the most current, enabling science technologies. In the afternoons, we boat, hike, swim, fish, play golf, tennis, and walk on the beach. We web-publish monthly session results on www.BestinScience.com. STREAMED LIVE---
We web-archive the results as a list of best practices. Interactive web tools will allow members to improve the best practices list by nominating, rating and voting for their favorites.

Who else loves our native plants?

This week's is Carter's Orchid (Basiphyllaea corallicola)! 🌼

This imperiled species is native to Florida, Cuba, the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, and Dominican Republic. Carter's Orchid is a diminutive terrestrial orchid which lives in pine rockland environments. After its discovery in 1903, the species was not sighted by botanists again in its natural habitat until more than 60 years later.
